Family Reading Night

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Family Reading Night before Thanksgiving! Families had a blast learning the Samba, and exploring different languages, cultures, and continents.

At one station, families made up their own "porquoi" story. These are common in African and Native American legends to tell why or how something is the way it is.

Bat Research

Third graders have been doing bat research! After being introduced to the topic, students brainstormed questions and chose one they wanted to research. They have been using books and websites from the LibGuide: http://libguides.d181.org/bats.

Then, they used the iPad app Shadow Puppet Edu to make a presentation that shared their learning. View each class' projects on Prospect's Youtube page:
