Author Elana K. Arnold visit

All students got to hear from Elana K. Arnold, author of our One Book, One School book, A Boy Called Bat. She shared how she got her ideas for writing A Boy Called Bat and we learned about her research on skunks. Students had a great time hearing about her own pets and asking her lots of questions!

After the presentation, they got to view the animals up close and even touch the skunk and hold a tarantula! Thanks to the Incredible Bats company for bringing in the animals!

The Bookfair is Coming!

Come visit the Prospect School Fall Book Fair presented by Anderson's on Thursday, October 18th and Friday, October 19th from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. In addition, the Fair will be open during Family Reading Night on Thursday, October 19th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Did you know that a percentage of all book fair sales gets turned into actual dollars that Mrs. Swanson gets to use to buy new books for the Prospect library? Your participation directly supports our school and we appreciate your support.
Grades 1-5 will visit the Fair with their classes during the school day. Please see the schedule below for your child’s designated shopping time. You may either send money with your child or you are welcome to meet your child at the book fair during their scheduled time to help them explore! Kindergarten will not visit the Fair with their class. We would love to have you visit before or after drop-off or pick-up with your child.
Anderson's will provide a great selection of books for all ages. Plus, there will be an opportunity to pre-order the highly anticipated Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: The Melt-Down (release date October 30th).
